The 1.2 Puretech has cast iron cylinder liners in an aluminium alloy block, which is far superior to VW engines (& most other marques) which are alusil and use much more oil than you're getting. Mine didn't need any top ups between 16,000 mile services until it reached 60,000 miles (now over 80,000).
