Thank you for the information. The gearbox is a EAT 6 and it does have an Actuator to relay the commands on the column lever to the gearbox. I can understand that the Actuator could be faulty not selecting manual but cannot see how this would prevent the "Paddles" from working as they work instantly and wont rely on a motor activating the gearbox.
Iv'e just bought a new (facelift) C4 Grand Picasso THP130/EAT6 Flair and very pleased with it except for one niggle. I can't get the aux input to work, just stays greyed out. Tried my Next-Base DVD player and earphone out from an i-pod classic result NOTHING.Both were playing so thought it would light up and play.
