The other thought would be to pull the OEM product key now, install your Education install, then when it comes time to get rid of the device, use the OEM supplied media and your key you just pulled to reinstall. You can harvest the product key from the OS and/or the BIOS. You might find some powershell scripts in the Powershell forum.
